I’m not a jewelry girl – are you? I would have thought I would be, I love most things that sparkle, but I guess it’s just something that never quite caught on. I have a pair of princess cut diamond earrings that my parents gifted me when I graduated from college, but that’s the extent of my collection.
Last summer, I went out to dinner with my friend and professional stylist Karlita Cavalli (you should totally follow her on Instagram, and watch her show on the Travel Channel, Planet Primetime) and she had on the CUTEST outfit – cropped skinny jeans, a tank top, a moto jacket, bright lipstick and the BEST bling around her neck that I had seen. It was so simple, and casual, yet it TOTALLY pulled the outfit together and just made it next level up.
Flashback Friday! How far have we all come?? We went out to celebrate the launch of Jennifer Cassetta’s website that my partner OJ and I designed & developed (follow @jenncassetta and click her link in her bio to get her video training links, book, apparel and meal plans) and now she is on ABC as one of the lead trainers on #mydietisbetterthanyours … Then my beloved friend and fellow Peke mom Karlita Cavalli went globe trotting, filming her new show Planet Prime Time on the @travelchannel – follow her here: @karlitacavalli and finally me – I was just beginning my career switch and immersing myself in extended training in digital marketing and content curation and am super excited about the new ventures that are unfolding scheduled throughout 2016…and could not be more pleased with the results of all of our hard work, dedication and consistency. Now this is what you call #girlsquad and #girlpower !!! Now we just have to finish up @sharzadkiadeh ‘s project and have a super pack girl power meetup to celebrate all elevated career #goals met, challenged and progressive growth. Here’s to being power chicks!!! And congrats to us all!! Woot!! 💪🏽👍🏾🙏🏼🍷🌹 #FBf
Ever since, I have been obsessed with upping up my accessory game, but it’s taking some refining. Up until I had seen her golden fringe statement necklace, I only had a couple of long necklaces that I had found at TJMaxx and what not. Sometimes I have good luck finding pieces on Amazon, sometimes I have luck finding pieces at estate sales, but lately, I have had the most luck on Le Tote…and here is why.
- You can test drive your accessories. With your monthly service fee of $59 per month, you can try out unlimited outfits. Included in the ‘totes’ are usually a couple of accessories. Control is totally in your hands – you can swap out those selected for you each tote, and pick and choose which piece catches your eye. I’ve found that some pieces get stuck in my cleavage, some are too heavy for my hands, some are too long, or the style makes my arms look chubby, you get the idea.
- You can either send the pieces that didn’t work back, or keep them at a discounted rate off of retail. So far, I have loved 3 pieces, but have not purchased any. I have purchased clothing though, but that’s another blog, on another day.
- You can take photos and make sure that your eyes aren’t lying to you. lol. I’m gonna leave that one there.
So there you have it – try out and curate your personalized accessory collection…follow me on Instagram @sylfabulous to check out my totes throughout the summer – I have a subscription that I’m trying out until August, and let me know your thoughts! I’d love to hear about your experience with Le Tote, or any groups on facebook or hashtags on the gram that I might not know about. Glam on!
Want to try out Le Tote for a free month? Leave a message and I will send one over to you!
